Every game in the Playtua catalog now has native 3D graphics. That includes the board games and puzzles as well as the runners, racing games and larger exploration scenes. There are 53 games in the collection, with three recent additions worth a closer look.
Penguin Run: a fresh jungle course
Penguin Run sends an animated penguin down a newly generated 1,000-metre causeway. Switch lanes to collect coins, jump over gaps and slide beneath spiked gateways. The run gets faster as you progress, and you have three lives to make it to the finish.
The 3D setting brings depth to the track and its ancient ruins. Keep your eyes ahead: the best coin route is only useful if you can clear the next obstacle.
Play With Tua: try every move
Play With Tua is a character playground. Select standing, waving, winking, walking, running, jumping, dancing, laughing, fighting or falling. Each action repeats until you choose another, and dragging turns Tua so you can see the character from different angles.
Footsteps, action effects, a dance tune and a cartoon chuckle accompany the movements. Settings let you control sound and haptic feedback. The move counter records your selections; there is no course to complete or opponent to beat.
Treasure Hunt: explore, collect and fight
Treasure Hunt takes you into a fresh wilderness of grasslands, forest, hills, rivers and open cave passages. Guide the explorer across bridges, collect 24 diamonds and defeat eight rogue robots to finish the expedition.
Swipe and hold to walk, drag farther to run and release to stop. Tap to punch; a second finger can attack while your movement gesture stays held. Use the minimap to plan your route around the remaining objectives.
Classic games keep their familiar controls
A move to 3D does not mean every game needs a chase camera. Boards and puzzles often use an overhead, orthographic view to keep pieces and numbers readable. Games such as 2048, Checkers and Tile Home retain their familiar goals with native 3D pieces and animations.
